There are two components to the visual consulting that AMICUS provides. The first component is proposing visual solutions for communicating the important issues of your case to your audience. Upon receiving the medical records, reports and relevant radiology studies, we sort through the information and review all the details. Then we type up a written proposal of suggested visual aids based on your specific arguments and based on similar cases we have prepared in the past. Our experience allows us to suggest ideas that you may not have thought of, or to let you know how ideas that were similar to yours turned out in the past. There is no fee for the development of this proposal, although we do appreciate it when you are serious about using our illustrative services if you ask us to spend the time reviewing all of the records.

The second component of our visual consulting is evaluation and analysis of existing medical illustrations or designs for exhibits that are to be created. With extensive training in visual phenomena and information design, we can evaluate your graphics needs and offer suggestions on how to strengthen the visual image you are intending on driving home to your audience. We review illustrations, photos, charts and graphs, and presentations and let you know what their weaknesses and strengths are. We make suggestions on how you can modify your existing visuals so that they have the most effective impact upon the audience. We can evaluate your personal exhibits, or the exhibits of the opposing counsel, to inform you of any inaccuracies, inconsistencies, poor design, loss of message, or erroneous illustrations. This may help strengthen your own exhibits, or discredit the exhibits of the opposing counsel. We do charge an hourly rate for our visual consulting evaluations.
